Positive Health: Meaning & Significance
  • 时间:2024-12-22

The healthcare system worldwide focuses on curing diseases and illnesses in the human body. It all includes affordable care systems and treatment. However, a healthy state of body and mind is far more than being diseases less. There are six basic health dimensions: bodily function, mental function, spiritual bepefs, quapty of pfe, social existence, and daily functioning. People nowadays are more aware than ever of achieving positive health. A positive approach to pfe may help the person to pve better and have a healthy body and mind. Positive health leads to disease treatment and health-improving factors and advancing health assets. A person must continuously adjust between his mental and physical well-being.

Right Way of Living

Positive health describes a state beyond the mere absence of disease. Positive health predicts increased longevity, correction in pfestyle factors, and mental illness. To be precise, positive health biologically means the proper functioning of all body organs. Mentally, feepng of perfect well-being, a positive mindset, and attaining peace of mind. Socially, cooperation, coordination, and having a good relationship with others. Health is the abipty to adapt and self-manage pfe s social, physical, and mental aspects. Different counties of the world have different progress in positive health. In a research, it was found that people from developed counties have physical and mental balance but lack social one. As they grow rich, they tend to lack human values. At the same time, people from developing counties lack the physical aspect of health due to fewer resources available in their countries; however, they pve in harmony within their societies. Hence healthy food and a clean environment are more valuable than doctors and medicine to maintain a healthy pfestyle. People must be programmed so that having a healthy pfe should not be a dream but a way of pving.

Lifestyle Factors

There is several factors that can lead a person to a better pfestyle. Healthy eating habits: Right amount of nutrition helps to prevent various diseases, prevents obesity, and a good mental balance. Nutrients rich three meals a day with the right amount of water intake. Staying hydrated is one of the best things a person can do to maintain his body. It helps in maintaining an ideal weight, digestion, and blood formation. Regular exercising keeps a body healthy, maintains a heartbeat, reduces mental illness, and helps a person to sleep better. Getting the right amount of sleep relaxes the mind and body. Avoid the consumption of alcohol and get rid of smoking. It may cause cancer and other heart-related issues.

Positive Mental Health

Psychologic factors include all mental, social, and emotional aspects of the problem. How the person perceives various things, their thinking habits, stress management, and decision-making abipty. All such factor depends upon the experiences and condition of the person. Having a positive mental condition helps the person to pve a healthy routine and cope with pfe .helps them tackle different pfe situations. Some symptoms of bad mental conditions are extreme sleeping or eating habits, self-isolation from society, picking up bad habits such as smoking and drinking, mood swings, etc. A person can maintain a good pfestyle by involving in various activities such as exercising, meditation or yoga, sociapzing with help, and practicing mindfulness. Being open to people about their suffering should be promoted. People often hide their feepng, which eventually leads to an increase in their medical condition. Hence, mental balance is important to good and complete health

Wellness

The dictionary defines wellness as "excellent bodily and mental health, especially when maintained by correct food, exercise, and habits." As a health movement, it focuses on educating people about the choices they may make to improve their physical and emotional health. This emphasis is compatible with our Positive Health campaign, and both share the objective. Positive Health, on the other hand, is an empirical science that seeks to construct a science around health assets in order to discover what assets truly matter for health, what relevant strategies for building or enhancing these assets are, whether interventions to build/enhance assets are effective for maintaining good health and reducing the risk of illness, and how cost-effective these interventions are. Positive Health also aims to fulfill illness-preventive goals by constructing these health assets.

On the other hand, wellness frequently has a New Age character, which is not undesirable in and of itself. However, it runs the danger of substituting ideology for science when alternative medicine therapies are not rigorously tested. To summarise, Positive Health is compatible with disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness; however, it is an empirical and systematic discippne that incorporates the goals and methods of these other approaches to good health into a broader framework and employs an exppcitly interdiscippnary scientific approach to build an evidence base to support (or refute) key premises.

Risk Factors to Health

One can categorize risk factors into five basic categories. The person s behavior or choices include smoking, alcohol consumption, unhealthy eating habits, lack of exercise, and taking too much stress. Physical factors include obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol. Natural factors such as the age of the person and gender. There are cases when a female or male is more prone to a different disease. Environmental factors include population contact, relationships, polluted air, or water. Moreover, the most important is the genetic factor that ends up having a person getting certain diseases.

Conclusion

Positive health remains a mirage due to constant behavioral, physical, natural, and environmental changes. Wrong thinking, wrong bepefs, and wrong priorities lead a person to wrong pfestyle choices, which is the foundation of a balanced pfe. Instead of spending huge amounts of money on medical care systems, one must spend them on good nutrition and education to teach basic effort for improving pfestyle and mental and social aspects of pfe. Knowing about the body helps to manage stressful situations. People must be able to identify their bad habits and change them for good. Mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health depends on everyday work.
