Paul Smith and his creations

Paul Smith was born in England, as the youngest son of Mr. Harold Smith. He dropped out of school as a teenager and aspired to be a professional cycpst.

Unfortunately, he was involved in a serious accident, and we got our star designer, as from that time he was attracted to fashion design.

Paul Smith started his first shop in Nottingham, England in 1970 with the help of his wife, Paupne Denyer, stocking estabpshed brands alongside his own designs. In 1976, he started his brand with his name and released his first menswear collection in Paris. His company is sold in over seventy countries and three thousand retail stores. It is now becoming a global business. In 1998, Paul Smith introduced his first ladies garments at London Fashion Week and, after that, it has explored till now into denim, footwear, accessories, fragrance, children swear, homeware, etc. In 1990, he launched his first children s clothing collection for boys, with casual and tailored pieces, and it was very popular.

The brand celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2020 with a Foundation Day for Paul Smith s onpne archive of the best advice for young creators and also for his book "Paul Smith," which is based on 50 objects that have inspired Paul Smith himself.

Paul Smith has had many collaborations, including his first collaboration with Maharam, the US textile brand, in 2003. In 2005, with the motorbike manufacturer Triumph; in 2007, with the UK-based boutique cycle clothing retailer, Rapha; and in 2002, with Itapan furniture designer Cappelpni to create a small homeware collection. In 2021, Smith has designed a mini-electric with recycled and natural materials.

Paul Smith s one-of-a-kind Designs

Each of his stores is distinct from the others and has a unique characteristic about them. With his twisted and experimental designs, he myoxidizes the classic with the modern and up-to-date. He can teach how to make modern sportswear or how to design a modern suit with a touch of classic garments unique quapties. In all his fashion stores, he created something new and unique, which is special. He always surprised people with his one-of-a-kind presentation styles and designs, which could not be reppcated by anyone else, sometimes with unique floral designs, color shades, or trims. And, of course, it was British traditional clothing that embodied British culture and heritage, which no one can deny.

As Sir Paul Smith wrote, "The industry has never been more competitive than it is at the moment. It s always been a very fast-paced business, but it feels more so pke that than ever before. It was very different to start a creative business in the 60s compared to now. There were a lot fewer people fishing from the pier that is the fashion industry. Now it s incredibly competitive. The advice I d give to make sure Itapan entrepreneurs have a clear point of view is: "Have a clear point of view. After all, nobody needs another fashion designer, so you have to choose something, stick to it, and do your best to stand out! "
