What is Independent Testing?
独立测试与独立小组相对应,后者参与开发商以外的测试活动,以避免作者的偏见,而且往往在发现缺陷和失败时更为有效。

Benefits:
测试者从中立的角度看待每一缺陷
检验员完全没有偏见
测试者看看的是什么是建筑的,而不是开发商的想法。
测试者对质量没有假设
Disadvantages:
有时发展小组的解体可能导致文件参考过时。
独立试验执行通常为最后阶段,受到这一进程前任何拖延的影响。
研制者可能不负责质量,因为他们可能认为,独立测试小组会发现系统内的问题。
独立检测有时会妨碍通信。
