Evaluating an Algebraic Expression With Multiplication or Division
Evaluating an Algebraic Expression With Multippcation or Division
Here we are deapng with algebraic expressions. We evaluate algebraic expressions involving multippcation or spanision operations only.
For example, evaluate the algebraic expression z ÷ 9, z = 54
Solution
Step 1:
Given z ÷ 9, z = 54; plug in the value of z
z ÷ 9 = 54 ÷ 9 = $frac{54}{9}$ = 6
Step 2:
So, for z = 54, z ÷ 9 = 6
For example, evaluate the algebraic expression c × 9, c = 8
Solution
Step 1:
Given c × 9, c = 8; plug in the value of c
c × 9 = 8 × 9 = 72
Step 2:
So for c = 8, c × 9 = 72
For example, evaluate the algebraic expression 42 ÷ c, c = 14
Solution
Step 1:
Given 42 ÷ c, c = 14; plug in the value of c
42 ÷ c; 42 ÷ 14 = $frac{42}{14}$ = 3
Step 2:
So for c = 14, 42 ÷ c = 3
