A watermelon is 3 times as heavy as a papaya. If the papaya has a weight of 1.68 kg, what is the weight of the watermelon?
Solution
Step 1:
Weight of the papaya = 1.68 Kg
Number of times water melon is heavier than papaya = 3
Step 2:
Weight of the water melon = 3 × 1.68 = 5.04 Kg
John pays for his new car in 24 monthly payments of $649.99 each. How much will John pay for the car in total?
Solution
Step 1:
Monthly payment amount = $649.99
Number of months paid = 24
Step 2:
Total amount paid = 24 × 649.99 = $15,599.76
